Furthermore, the survey highlighted that a significant portion—22%—of respondents stated that social media advertising influenced their choice of gambling operator. Alarmingly, aggressive ad campaigns, rife with misleading promises, lead one in three young players to unregulated sites. BAGO criticized these tactics, noting that such advertising is prohibited for licensed entities in Belgium.
